The next scheduled election is the August 30 Florida Primary, where voters in each of the political parties vote for their party’s nominee for congress, state senate, state house, as well as local offices. In order to vote in the Democratic Party primary, you must be registered to vote in the Democratic Party on or before August 1, 2016. Likewise, in order to vote in the Republican Party primary, you must be registered to vote in the Republican Party on or before August 1, 2016. All voters can participate in nonpartisan elections, such as judicial, school board and city elections.
